I wanted to use this platform to talk about something that
is a part of my life. THE NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION. I was diagnosed with End
Stage Renal Disease, due to complications from Diabetes. Ugh, it sounds so drab
and depressing, but not for me. One because I know that God doesn’t want me
sick, and He is Jehovah Rapha, my healer. I must get closer to Him and do
things as I’m supposed to if I want that healing. Well I got to this place for
lack of discipline or respect for my body (in other words, not doing what I’m
supposed to do). Nevertheless, I’m here. I go to dialysis Tuesdays, Thursdays
and Saturdays. I would like for you, whoever you are reading to become a
live/in-active donor. I understand that you may be afraid to be a live donor,
which is understandable, but you can become an organ donor through your local
dmv. However, you can still live a full and happy life with one kidney, all
medical expenses would be paid, and the biggest deal of all, you’re saving a
life and bringing joy and fulfillment to so many others. Also, I would like for
you to consider donating to the NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION
. I was diagnosed
with Type-1 Diabetes at the age of 9, over 31 years ago and have never received
anything from that organization, but have collected monies for them during the
annual walks. I can speak first hand on the donations whether monetary or through
cars, or clothing donated to the NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION, it uses the money
to help the individuals that are going through the trials of dealing with this.
I receive a check from this organization every 3 months to pay for my
supplemental insurance to help cover medical costs. This is a blessing, so if
you want to pick up a charity to donate to (you will receive a tax deduction)
chose the NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION, https://www.kidney.org/. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
